Seeing the best of Barcelona in a single day is a challenge. If you like to walk and if we settle for seeing some emblematic buildings from the outside, you can see most of the essential places in Barcelona in one day.
Here we leave you a guide of the route you can do to know the beautiful city of Barcelona.
- La Rambla
Walking along the most famous street in Barcelona you can enjoy and get to know a little of its culture and observe the beautiful architecture of places such as the Liceu Theater. La Rambla is considered the liveliest street in the city, with its flower stalls, human statues and the countless number of people who pass through there daily.

- La boquería
On La Rambla you can find the famous La Boqueria market which is considered the most famous market in the city. It is a very colorful place where you can buy and taste a wide variety of typical dishes of Spain and Barcelona in particular.

- La Catedral de Barcelona
Being in La Rambla we enter one of its mezzanines to reach the Cathedral where you can enjoy its beautiful construction and visit its interior since it has free access. Then it would be best to go along the path of the Portal del Ángel to reach plaza Cataluña where you can enjoy the immensity of the square full of pigeons.

- Modernism in Paseo de Gracia: Casa Amatller, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera
From Plaza Cataluña you can walk to Paseo de Gracia, a wide avenue, full of luxurious shops and famous buildings in Barcelona, such as the Casa Ametller by the architect Puig i Cadafalch and the Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. both constructions by Antoni Gaudí.

- Arc de Triomf and Parque la Ciutadella
Arriving at Arc de Triomf, the beautiful promenade of Lluis Companys opens before us, a wide avenue full of interesting activities and is the preamble to the Parc de la Ciutadella, ideal for breathing away from pollution and resting on the grass.

- Sagrada Familia
For the Sagrada Familia it is convenient to buy the tickets in advance to ensure the visit and avoid the queue because it would be a shame to see it only on the outside since its interior is a real wonder with its forest of modernist statues. They usually offer passes in the morning hour but if you manage to reach one in the afternoon it would be perfect to continue with the order of the itinerary.

- La Barceloneta, Paseo Marítimo, Mirador de Colón
Passing in front of the wonderful station of França, we enter the Neighborhood of Barceloneta and following the Paseo Borbón we will arrive at the Paseo Marítimo and the beach of Barceloneta, a place where you can take off your shoes and soak your feet after a long walk through the city of Barcelona or enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the many restaurants that are in the area. If you continue walking through Barceloneta you will reach the statue of Columbus, where one of the ends of what was the beginning of the tour, La Rambla, is located.
