3. Van Van Market
One of the great markets to attend when in Barcelona it’s the Van Van Market.
The market has been installed in the last editions under the iconic Clock Tower in the port of Barcelona.
That is because it’s the area where fish arrives on a daily basis, thanks to the local fishermens.
Normally, the Fishermen’s Association is closed to the public, only professionals in the sector can access the auction market where the fish is sold.
But the visitors of the last editions of Van Van Market, apart from trying the best of the caravan street food, have been able to get there thanks to the partnership with the Fishermen’s Association.
Van Van Market aimed to promote the consumption of native fish of the area. So, the fishermens of the area made special guided tours (with previous reservation).
The tour will end up with a gastronomic tasting of native species of the area cooked by the fishermen themselves.
Van Van Market is one of the most successful outdoor gastronomic events in the city. This caravan market is one of the pioneers of its kind in Barcelona.
It first took place back in 2013 and managed to stay on the top of the long list of food markets that Barcelona offers today.
The event has taken place already in 20 different locations of the city, always offering the best experience to the visitors.

4. Palo Alto Market
This market it is a well-known trendy city spot to come and spend a weekend with your friends.

Palo Alto combines the basic concept of “street”, including elements that make it much more sophisticated.
There’s live music, food both organic and fast food, and a variety of stands from art, design, vintage, jewelry, clothing, and much more.

The market is held twice a month in an old factory in the neighborhood of Poblenou.
This district of Barcelona is also known for its industrial and design atmosphere, making it one of the favorites districts for emerging artists.
To get to the venue you can do it by metro with the L4 (yellow) and you have to get off at the station Selva de Mar.
Another option is to go with your personal car and leave it in the Ronda Litoral which has free parking or also in Llull carrer With Diagonal.
