  • Constitution Plaza

Located at one end of Calle Larios, the Plaza de la Constitución has been one of the nerve centers of Malaga life since the 15th century and one of the main squares to visit in Malaga. Surrounded by historic buildings such as the San Telmo school and the Casa del Consulado, this old main square stands out for the beauty of the Genoa Fountain, built in marble in the 16th century, and for the terraces of bars and restaurants where you can have a drink.

  • Gibralfaro Castell

The Gibralfaro castle or Alcázar de Gibralfaro is a fortification enlarged and converted into a fortress by the Nasrid king Yusuf eI in the year 1340. It was built to house the troops and protect the Alcazaba during sieges, due to the widespread use of the top of the closed by artillery. It was one of the most impregnable fortresses on the Iberian Peninsula, made up of two lines of walls and eight towers.In the castle you can enjoy the different natural viewpoints or tour its wall passing through its 8 towers, among which the Torre Mayor stands out, 17 meters high, and enjoy the best views of the city with the Mediterranean in the background.On the Gibralfaro hill it also has two viewpoints outside the walls that are perfect for enjoying the best sunset over Malaga.

  • Picasso Museum

The Picasso Museum, located in the Palacio de Buenavista in the painter’s hometown, is the most important museum to see in Malaga.Inside this 16th-century Renaissance building you can see up to 285 works by one of the great masters of art history who contributed revolutionary techniques such as cubism. Among the most important works that the painter donated to the museum are: Woman with raised arms, Child with a shovel, Acrobat, Bather, The Three Graces and Still Life with Rooster and Knife. The museum is open every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. but in winter it closes one hour earlier and in summer one hour later.

  • Malaga Park

To take a relaxing walk and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city, we recommend the Parque de Málaga, located in the heart of the city. During your tour you can enjoy the walk between tropical trees, Baroque and Renaissance style gardens, tiled benches, fountains and sculptures of famous people, it is a moment in which you rest from the Malaga sun and walk through the shade of the vegetation of the zone. Close to the park is the Pedro Luis Alonso Garden and the Puerta Oscura Gardens, both with magnificent views of the Alcazaba.

The Atarazanas Market is a building that owes its name to a Nasrid naval workshop that occupied the same place. The interior of this central market stands out for its iron structure and a large horseshoe arch, as well as stalls with quality local products and several places where you can try traditional tapas.

  • Pompidou Center

The Pompidou Center is another of the most important museums to visit in Malaga, one of the headquarters of the George Pompidou National Center for Art and Culture in Paris, located at the beginning of Pier 1.

After taking the obligatory photo in the striking colored glass cube that decorates the entrance to the museum, there is a staircase that is another of the works of art in the place that leads you to discover an important collection of modern art in which paintings by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Kandinsky stand out.
