Barcelona is one of the best destinations to travel with your family, especially with kids, regardless of their age. The city is full of culturally significant places your kids will absolutely love. But we all know how easily the little ones get tired, and how necessary it is to let them have a little fun.
Fortunately, there are many different fun activities you can practice and places you can take your kids to in Barcelona that will make your little ones the happiest. Here are some of our suggestions:
Table of Contents
Barcelona Bosc Urbà
One of the most popular destinations for the active kids is the Barcelona Bosc Urbà (Urban Forest) located in the Park del Forum. This place is a kind of adventure park full of zip lines, climbing forest networks, lianas, bungee jumping trunks, bridges, and more fun installations located on platforms up to 6 meters high.

The park offers more than 50 attractions suitable for all the members of the family. Some of them are as challenging for parents as for their kids, that’s why this park is a perfect option for the whole family. It is located very close to the beach, making it a perfect place to pass by before or after the beach trip.
During the summer months until the 10th of September, the park is open 10:00 – 15:00 and 16:00 – 20:00 every day. And from November to March the park is open 10:00 – 15:00 on weekends, and any day with previous reservations for a minimum of 10 people.
Where: Parc del Forum, s / n. Adress: Maremesme / Fòrum (L4).
Apart from this park, you can take your kids to Tibidabo Park and PortAventura (if you have a full day you can dedicate to this trip). These are the classic attractions parks that are popular with children all year round.
Parque de la Ciutadella
One of the most popular places among Barcelona locals and city visitors at any moment of the year is Parc de la Ciutadella. Young people love going there to study and meet their friends, while families come to take a walk and let their kids have fun popping giant bubbles that some entrepreneurs make next to the impressively beautiful towering waterfall.

The park offers many different activities you can practice to have the most fun in the park. Children can climb and swing in the play area, discover a statue of an elephant and try to climb it too, and you can take some photos of them running around happy and excited. Together you can go on a rowboat in a little lake located in the middle of the park and have a picnic on the grass.
There are also two museums and the Catalan Parliament building you can see. So, the Ciutadella Park is just a perfect place to spend some time of the day when you feel like your kids are tired of all the city bustle and need some rest.

Restaurants and cafes to go with kids
If you are staying somewhere in the city center, you must have noticed that the restaurants and cafes there are not all particularly suitable for kids. The places are usually small and full of people, and unfortunately, despite all the cultural and gastronomical importance and of many of them, are not the best option to take your tired kids to.
Let’s say at least once during your stay you can go to one of the following places and let the kids enjoy themselves!
El Flako Corn Flakes & Co
Although, yes, this place serves all kinds of cereals (and not much more than that), it was not created specifically for kids. This innovative concept was born to let people of all ages enjoy their favorite cereal flavors, thus making it one of the best places to go with family in the middle of a summer day in Barcelona.
This cereal bar located next to the Santa Caterina market, in the heart of the Borne, is a perfect place to go with kids in Barcelona.

There are some places that deserve your attention if this is your case:
Espai Granada
